In 32 years of practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have maintained a private practice in addition to working within diverse organizations. I have had the privilege of treating clients of various ages, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. The scope of my practice has been varied as well. I began providing therapy to children and families. Subsequently, worked in addictions specific treatment as the Clinical Supervisor of a hospital based inpatient rehab, detox, and outpatient clinic on Eastern Long Island and New York City. Throughout these years, I supervised and trained hospital staff, and undergraduate and graduate students at Adelphi University and SUNY at Stony Brook. I continued to treat addiction and began practicing in the specialty of disordered eating in Nassau County, within a newly developed intensive outpatient program. I provided individual, family, and group therapy for the eating disorder program.

Today, I work primarily with addicts and partners to treat compulsive behaviors, substance abuse, and the mental health conditions associated with these behaviors.

My approach in assisting growth and healing incorporates a family systems framework, mindfulness practices, and the incorporation of 12- Step recovery programs as a valuable support and adjunct to therapy.
